Early Days
Since being founded by senior operational paramedic Tom Giffney in 1997, Codeblue medical has expanded rapidly. Having started off as a medical training provider, Codeblue has since added a dedicated event medical support team.
Tom founded Codeblue following an extensive career with the Fire and Ambulance service. He is dedicated to ensuring that medical professionals receive the absolute best training and has trained thousands. He also served on the Heart Foundation’s ACLS & BLS Councils for 12 years and is regularly consulted by training hospitals.
Event Support Growth
With tightening legislation around event safety in the UK, Codeblue Medical stepped in to provide professional event safety services. As demand grew so did our team. Having started with one team of medics we now have hundreds of trained, registered, event medics across two countries.
Favoured for our attention to detail and event planning, Codeblue is now the preferred provider for event organisations in the UK. We have provided event medics for festivals, football matches, marathons, major races and more.
TV & Film Medics
The UK has a long history of film and TV production. Over time sets and crews have become bigger, increasing the risks on set and therefore the need for medics. Codeblue Medical has specialised medics who provide key medic and onsite cover for filming in the UK. We have covered film sets in caves, up mountains, in film studios, lakeside and the occasional Viking boat. Priding ourselves on professionalism, efficiency and discretion every time.
